Yes. Verbit provides full visibility into the transcription and captioning process in real time. Users can edit or download files at any time.

Does Verbit integrate with video hosting or learning management platforms?

Yes. We currently integrate with the following LMS platforms: Blackboard, Canvas and Brightcove and these Content Management Systems: Panopto, Kaltura, YouTube, Vimeo, Limelight and VoiceThread.

Does Verbit have an API?

Is it possible to rush an order?

Yes. For an additional cost, files can be expedited. These jobs are flagged as high priority in the platform to ensure quick work.

What file formats does Verbit accept?

Verbit accepts any file format that a customer needs.

Is it possible to add additional information or instructions to files?

Yes. Users can always add additional comments when submitting a file, either by typing in notes or by attaching relevant files for added context. In fact, this is highly encouraged as the more context that is provided, the more accurate the technical output will be, resulting in even less human editing required and lower costs.

Does Verbit support transcription for complex topics?

Yes. Verbit’s sophisticated technology combines linguistic, acoustic and contextual events to identify the topic of the file and engage a database of the most-used words accordingly for higher accuracy, even with complex terminology.

What languages does Verbit support?

Verbit currently supports English and Spanish, with plans to expand to include additional languages in the near future.

What industries does Verbit specialize in?

Verbit serves customers across a wide variety of verticals. Our main development focus is on transcription and captioning services for the higher education and legal industries, but the service is used at conferences and by additional industries, including media, entertainment, government, and finance.

What is Verbit’s human editing process?

Once the initial technology-produced transcript is ready, the file passes to our human transcribers for another layer of review when requested. This step is divided into two stages where editors and then reviewers work to improve the accuracy of the transcript with an aim to bring it to a targeted 99% accuracy level. All of our transcribers are highly qualified and must pass a rigorous test with a 10% acceptance rate.
