Our leadership

Yair Amsterdam is the CEO of Verbit. He previously served as President and was responsible the operations and technology teams of Verbit and VITAC.

He is a seasoned senior executive with a proven track record of successfully leading SaaS and software companies, spearheading transformative growth strategies, and driving operational excellence.

In his previous role, Amsterdam led a global team as the COO of ProQuest, in charge of its content operations and the ProQuest Customer Experience group. Under his leadership, ProQuest was acquired for $5.3B, serving more than 25,000 customers that generated close to $1B in annual revenue. He also previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Ex Libris, overseeing its Cloud Operations, Global Support, Content Operations and IT Groups. Before joining Ex Libris, Yair was Vice President of Operations for the Enterprise Intelligence business unit at Verint Systems (Nasdaq: VRNT). During his 13 years at Verint, Yair was engaged in software development, support operations and the supply chain.

Yair holds a Bachelor’s in Science in Chemical Engineering (Summa Cum Laude) from the Technion University and an MBA (Summa Cum Laude) from Ben Gurion University. Yair is a long-distance runner and triathlete.

Dikla Edlis has 20+ years of global HR leadership and organizational coaching experience. She has a successful track record of supporting companies in hyper growth stages, in implementing major organizational changes, in M&As and in building world-class sales organizations with inside & field sales efforts. Edlis has trusted expertise in executive team building, as well as global organizational optimization, efficiency and transformation. She specializes in the facilitation of organizational transformations and organizational development, and translating business strategy into people and organizational capabilities.

Prior to Verbit, Edlis served as CHRO at various hyper-growth startups, including leading the hypergrowth of Panaya from an early stage startup to its acquisition by Infosys for $300M. In the past, she has served as an Executive Consultant and as a Chief People Officer at various companies. Edlis studied Organizational and Industrial Psychology and secured an M.A from the University of Haifa.

Edlis is a strong believer in inclusion and accessibility, and she is proud to be the mother of an autistic child. She brings her personal view and experience in these areas to Verbit and its mission of accessibility. She is committed to making Verbit a company where everyone can succeed and feel included.

Hila is Verbit SVP R&D, leading the product research and development. Hila is a seasoned R&D manager and technology leader with versatile experience in software development and track record in developing high scale cloud suite, applications and infrastructures, AI powered, adhering to high-end enterprise grade standards for security, scale and resiliency.

Hila has over 23 years of experience across various software companies including previous roles as R&D VP Cloud Infrastructure and Applications at Nice, R&D VP Growth Solution at Nice and Mobile and Middleware Development Manager at Partner.
Hila hold a BSc for Civil Engineer from the Technion, Israel Institute of technology.

With over 19 years of experience in program management, business operations, and procurement, Michal leads Verbit’s program management function and serves as Chief of Staff. She oversees the development and execution of strategic programs, manages global procurement, and optimizes operational efficiency. Michal also provides strategic counsel and supports the executive team in achieving Verbit’s strategic direction.

Prior to Verbit, Michal held leadership positions at Cognyte and Verint, establishing and managing procurement and business operations teams. She implemented best practices, drove operational excellence, and cultivated strategic partnerships for significant cost savings.

Michal holds an MBA in Business Management from Reichman University and an LLB in Law and Communication from Tel Aviv University.

Jim is leading our business groups, including Sales & Marketing. He comes from Clarivate where he was SVP, Global Sales & Marketing – Academia & Government with responsibility for $1.4B in revenue. Previously, he was CRO of ProQuest, a private information services and technology company that was acquired by Clarivate. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 22 years at Reuters (which became Thomson Reuters) where he held a variety of leadership roles including President, Global Accounts based in the UK and Managing Director of North America.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Hofstra University in New York and completed executive leadership programs at the University of Michigan, Dartmouth College, and IE Business School in Spain.

David Landsberg, Verbit’s SVP of Products, oversees the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond. David leads the product and design teams that build and grow Verbit’s unique transcription and captioning solutions for education, media, and legal industries, as well as its audio description and generative AI solutions for accessibility and content creation.

David has successfully launched and scaled several enterprise software products in the fields of DevOps, mobility, and software testing, working with leading software technology companies such as JFrog, Microfocus and Hewlett Packard. His software engineering background and experience leading RND teams enable him to build innovative and disruptive software products that solve real-world problems.

David is passionate about helping all verbal information to be accessible, discoverable, and insightful. He believes that Verbit’s AI-powered solutions can transform the way people uncover insights in real-time conversations.

Simon brings with him over two decades of experience in technology leadership and innovation. Prior to joining Verbit, Simon served as CTO at AudioCodes Ltd., where he successfully led the company to the forefront of AI innovation by aligning technology initiatives with business goals and spearheading the development of GenAI architecture.

Before his tenure at AudioCodes, Simon was the CTO and VP of R&D at Callverso, where he developed a groundbreaking Conversational AI Platform and oversaw all technological aspects of the business. His strategic vision and expertise have consistently driven companies to maintain a competitive edge in rapidly evolving markets.
Simon’s extensive career also includes pivotal roles at MyHeritage Ltd., where he led the design and deployment of scalable architectures that significantly increased user growth, and at Poly Information Ltd., which he founded. At Poly Information, Simon managed strategic partnerships and R&D, contributing to the company’s public listing on the London Stock Exchange.

Simon holds a BSc in Computer Sciences and a degree in Management from Tel-Aviv University and has authored several international patents in AI and Computational Linguistics.

Sagi Rothman is an experienced corporate development professional with a demonstrated history in the telecommunications industry. He excels in analytics, entrepreneurship, venture capital, market analysis and management.

Prior to Verbit, he served in strategic corporate development and financial analyst roles at Amdocs and Intel Corporation. Rothman holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Magna Cum Laude, with a focus in Technology Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Tel Aviv University.

Barak Rozenblat currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Verbit, where he oversees the company’s Delivery, Customer and Community Support, Customer Success, IT, Security, and Professional Services divisions. He has a deep understanding of the technology industry, with years of experience in various management roles.

Before joining Verbit, Barak held the position of VP of Cloud Services at Ex Libris, where he was responsible for managing the Cloud Infrastructure and services that underpin the company’s products. Prior to this, he held various management roles at Comverse, where he led operations, support, and professional service teams.

Barak’s educational background includes a BA in Social Sciences with a focus on Management from The Open University of Israel, as well as a Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Bar-Ilan University.

JP Son has served as Verbit’s Chief Legal Officer since December 2021, with responsibility for the company’s global legal affairs, including in the areas of regulatory compliance, privacy, intellectual property, commercial, M&A, governance and employment.

Previously, Son was Vice President, Legal at Vonage Holdings Corp. (VG), where he was responsible for global regulatory, privacy and intellectual property matters. He also served as lead counsel for Vonage’s API Platform group. Prior to Vonage, Son was in private practice at a global law firm based in New York. Son received his undergraduate degree in computer science from Cornell University and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Omry is a General Partner at Viola Ventures. He joined the fund in 2017 bringing with him 15 years of technology-focused experience across investment banking, startup operations and both institutional and private venture investments. Prior to Viola Omry was a Senior Vice President and East Coast Software Sector Captain at Goldman Sachs in the tech, media and telecom (TMT) investment banking group. Omry’s areas of investment include Fintech, Enterprise / SMB Software and Vertical AI.

Jai is a partner, president, and co-founder at Sapphire Ventures. He invests in startups he believes are developing ground-breaking products and services, and have embarked on their journey to become a company of consequence. He has more than 15 years of experience helping companies innovate their product and marketing strategies in order to scale and become market leaders.

Fourteen of Jai’s investments have become publicly traded companies and more than 15 have been acquired.
Jai is currently a member of the board (director or observer) at Catchpoint, CircleCI, Clari, DataRobot, Narrative Science, OpsRamp, PubNub, Splashtop, Tetrate, ThoughtSpot, UJET, Uptycs, Verbit, yellow.ai, and Yugabyte. He also led the firm’s investments in Blockdaemon, FalconX, JumpCloud, Privacera, Netskope, Tesseract and Zesty.

Prior to joining Sapphire Ventures in 2006, Jai worked at Oracle, Intel Capital, Agilent Ventures, and MVC Capital. He has a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Brown University and an MBA from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Yaniv Jacobi is Founding Partner & Managing Partner at Oryzn Capital. With more than 15 years in the High-Tech Industry, Yaniv is bringing a well-balanced – some would say lethal – combination of business, management and technical expertise.

During his time as VP Biz Dev at LivePerson (Nasdaq: LPSN) He worked with the Israeli Startup and VC Communities to evaluate business opportunities, build joint product offerings, and connect the selected few to their network of partners and customers.

He considers Oryzn to be the perfect vehicle for continuing this journey, helping startups to revolutionize tomorrow’s world.

Saagar partners with founders who are building compelling products in application software, B2B marketplaces, and fintech. He serves on the board of or is actively involved with Stripes’ portfolio companies monday.com, BacklotCars, Verbit, Legion, Pleo, HyperScience, Cypress, Sift, Remine, SPINS, Emotive, RapidAPI, Spiff, Oyster, Lithic, Balto, CarOnSale, and Paradox.

Prior to joining Stripes, Saagar invested in late-stage technology and consumer companies at Boston-based Berkshire Partners. He began his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company.

Eldad is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of track record in building technology companies in the US and in Israel. At Taboola, the world’s leading discovery platform, Eldad runs business and R&D, driving over one billion dollar in annual revenue. Prior to joining Taboola, Eldad held senior executive positions at BMC Software, Zend Technologies and Identify Software. Earlier in his career Eldad founded NextNine, which was acquired by Honeywell. Eldad is a graduate of the prestigious Talpiot program at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and spent five years in Israeli intelligence.

Yanai Oron joined Vertex in 2014, following an operational and technical background. Yanai sits on the board of Trigo, Verbit, Identiq, DataRails, EasySend, Kryon, Seebo, Taranis, Watchful, Everafter, Zenity, and was previously on the board of Meta Networks (acquired by Proofpoint) and Perfecto (Acquired by Perforce Software). Before Vertex, Yanai was General Manager at DVTel (acquired by FLIR/Teledyne). He started his career as an embedded engineer at Intel Corporation.

Yanai holds a BSC in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Jeroen Plink is a seasoned legal technology expert with extensive experience as a founder, executive, advisor and investor in the legal tech industry. He is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Legaltech Hub, a platform for connecting legal tech buyers with insights, analysis, technology and solutions. Previously, Jeroen served as CEO of Practical Law US before its acquisition by Thomson Reuters. Jeroen has also held board positions at companies including Casetext (also acquired by Thomson Reuters), Kira (acquired by Litera), Compliance.ai and Wemble. Jeroen began his career practicing as an attorney at globally recognized law firms, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and private equity. He holds a law degree from Leiden University and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

Since June 2000, Mr. Schwartz has been Managing Partner of Third Point Ventures, the Menlo Park, California based venture capital arm of Third Point LLC, which is a registered investment adviser based in New York and the investment manager of the Third Point Funds. Mr. Schwartz is presently a director of NextSilicon, Verbit, Sysdig, Kentik, Kumu Networks, Aryaka, Precision Hawk, R2 Semiconductor, SentinelOne (NYSE:S), YellowBrick Data, Ushur, Ahana, and Trullion.
