Recent Updates

2/14 – Caption Outage (1:44 pm ET)

VITAC experienced an outage of our Internet Captioning Service (ICS) on Thursday, Feb. 13. Our team quickly identified the source of the problem – a sudden spike of unexpected data in our Redis database – and worked with Redis Labs to remove the problematic data and restore caption delivery functionality.

We continued to caption all events during the outage and will deliver post-event files and transcripts as requested. Please note that this outage only affected ICS bookings. If you also booked Zoom or scoreboard captioning, those captions were delivered without error.

We will be closely monitoring events to ensure there are no further issues.
