Hundreds of venture capitalists and leaders in the technology community gathered at the Enterprise Technology Summit produced by Globes and J.P. Morgan at Sheva in Tel Aviv on December 3rd.

The full-day conference focused on opportunities and challenges in innovation and the modernization of IT systems at leading companies in Israel and around the world.

As part of the conference, Globes revealed its annual picks for the top ten most promising startups of 2019. Verbit was selected as No. 5 on the list. Verbit CEO and Co-Founder Tom Livne attended the event with several Verbit employees to accept the award on Verbit’s behalf.

2019 marked the 14th year of Globes’ startup competition. The list is compiled by a poll of approximately 100 venture capital investors from Israel’s leading funds. Each investor was asked to vote for five startups, only one of which to be selected from their respective portfolios.

Additional companies named to the list focus on technology through the lenses of warehouse delivery, investment management, music learning, and home medical exams. DriveNets was selected as the No. 1 startup for 2019.

In addition to the startup competition, the Enterprise Technology Summit consisted of 1:1 interviews, lectures and panels discussing enterprise technology, the transition to digital activities in the cloud, artificial intelligence, cyber security, fintech, and more.
