This week, Verbit has been partnering with the University Professional & Continuing Education Association for its SOLA+R 2021 event. Verbit has been exhibiting at the event, but is also powering the live captioning of speaking sessions at SOLA+R, the Summit for Online Leadership and Administration + Roundtable.

The event engages key campus leaders to focus on the online enterprise from both strategic and operational perspectives. Verbit’s team is honored to be the captioning provider of choice for UPCEA.

The team has been meeting with vice presidents, deans, directors and others who are responsible for the design, delivery and strategic direction of the online learning enterprise at the top-ranked universities in the country throughout the week.

It’s become more clear than ever before that online learning is integral in the delivery of innovative teaching and learning experiences. More institutions were enlisting entrepreneurial approaches to deliver online learning and access mission, which has only driven greater adoption due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This week, the event has been exploring how online technologies, pedagogies, and infrastructure are critical to the success and academic continuity of institutions. SOLA+R 2021 speakers have been offering best practices and sharing their online strategies with peer institutions and we’ve enjoyed seeing and taking part in the collaboration.

It’s been especially interesting to see how many SOLA+R attendees are focusing on enlisting groundbreaking online technologies to enable them to foster a culture of innovation and access for all students. More institutions are leaning on innovation tech to ensure their online courses and content are accessible to students and viewers with disabilities.
